Ferdinand Dyushenning “Qamar” romanini tarjima qilishda madaniy ekvivalentlik masalalari

Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of cultural equivalence in the Uzbek translation of Ferdinand Düshen's novel “Qamar.” It examines the methods used to render the work's national–cultural units, religious, and domestic realities in the Uzbek version. Additionally, the role of the equivalent, adaptation, and explanation strategies employed by the translator in preserving the text's content and its literary–aesthetic impact is highlighted. The article analyzes, through examples, the impact of differences between French and Uzbek cultures on the translation process.
