Abstrak

The article examines the pedagogical potential of interdisciplinary project-based learning in English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction. The study describes the implementation of a Marketing Action Plan project conducted with approximately 130 first-year advanced-level economics students at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent. The project integrated elements of marketing analysis and professional communication within an ESP learning environment. Students worked in groups to investigate local businesses using the 7P marketing framework and developed action plans based on identified business challenges. The study employed a classroom-based qualitative approach combining classroom observation, assessment rubrics, presentation analysis, and informal student feedback. The findings demonstrated increased student engagement, active participation, and noticeable development of professional vocabulary and analytical communication skills. The project also created an authentic learning environment by involving both primary and secondary research, including business visits, interviews, customer reviews, and social media analysis. The article argues that interdisciplinary project-based activities can significantly contribute to the development of professional communication skills and learner motivation in ESP contexts.
