Abstract

This article examines the pedagogical potential, objectives, and practical significance of using artificial intelligence technologies in foreign language teaching. The study analyzes the role of AI-based adaptive learning systems, natural language processing tools, automated assessment mechanisms, and interactive platforms in developing foreign language competencies. Particular attention is given to the advantages of artificial intelligence, including the individualization of the learning process, immediate feedback, increased learner motivation, and improved educational effectiveness. At the same time, the paper discusses potential challenges such as academic integrity issues, digital inequality, technological dependence, and data security concerns. The findings contribute to the development of scientifically grounded recommendations for the effective and purposeful integration of artificial intelligence into foreign language education.
